Planning for Music Video - Music Video's that have Influenced Final Planning

There were many music video's that influenced ideas of what to contribute to the music video. Four in particular have big influences on the input to the music video.

1.Franz Ferdinand - Can't Stop Feeling
The video was very simple yet entertaining, it was the way the artists delivered the video that made it fun to watch, unlike most videos which are expensive commercialized. This is my main influence as they make the video fun with little use of props or added extra's which is able to keep the audience fixated on what's going to happen next. I would like to portray our artists in the same way as they are going to show its possible to have fun and be exciting unlike some videos which have numerous amount of graphics and flashy materialistic items to give the video interesting and keep the audience watching.
Other than the use of Franz Ferdinand's simple yet fun approach, they have a quirky way of going from one scene to another which gives the video an added extra, if we were to incorporate this into our Music video with the use of trumpets I think it would look really good.
below is the original video

2.The Game - Dreams
Only a particular bit of the Games music video influenced us, at 1:06 when a still image is turns into action. Dr Dre holds up a CD to the camera with the game on it, which then zooms in, and continues as the next scene. We thought this would be effective at the very beginning and the end.

3. Kanye West Ft. T-Pain - Good Life
The graphics and animation in this video sparked idea's to use animated font for the chorus, It won't be exactly the same as we don't have the right software to imitate the writing of font, but we would like 'Get Down With The Trumpets' coming out of the trumpets like sound.

4. Black Eyed Peas - Where is The Love
Nearer the end of the Music Video, they use other people to mime the lyrics. If possible we would like to do the same for bits of the chorus, but instead of using one person for one sentence, we want to chop it up, so its 1 person per word or the lyrics.
